Our Apartment, Makiki, Hawai`i

On a whim, Jen and I decided to take Katie to The Bishop Museum — one of the very few museums of any kind in Honolulu. The museum is a regular destination for elementary school field trips... and I had a weird feeling I hadn't been there since the sixth grade. Our first stop was the main exhibit hall to see it's full-scale humpback whale model, the only thing I'd ever get excited about there as a kid. This visit was the first time I actually looked at anything else, including the incredible array of artifacts covering Hawaii's history since it was ruled by kings and warring chiefs.
