The quintessential family restaurant. Located in Kaimuki, it is the only remaining location for this local institution (the original restaurant on Kapi`olani Boulevard was shut down last year)... and word is it will close in the summer of 2001. The food is pretty good, the prices are great, and the service isn't bad, if you stay away on Sunday mornings. They get extra points for their Monday-thru-Thursday "Kids Eat Free" promotion, and one of the better loco mocos outside of Hilo. It's definitely the place to go if you're sick of Zippy's.
