Carrie is one of the interns who worked at PBEC (where I worked from October 1998 to February 2003). Like Bre, she rejoined us in January 2002 after having worked with us nearly two years ago before our big March 2000 conference. She's a veteran, then, and one of our most industrious team members. While serving with us the first time, she worked several other jobs to pay the bills, including as a server at Zaffron, one of my favorite Indian restaurants in town. She is now a junior at HPU, studying International Business, and was a member of HPU's Students In Free Enterprise. In May 2001, her team's "Economic Outreach Project" placed third among more than 120 colleges and universities from around the United States. And it was the first time HPU's SIFE team went to the national competition. She is also a big fan of raves, techno music, mix tapes, and all things cool. Future plans include opening several pan-American pizza/sandwich/dessert restaurants, perhaps in Seattle, western Canada, and elsewhere... but do not include returning to New Jersey.
