Ben was one of the interns who worked at PBEC (where I worked from October 1998 to February 2003). An HPU student, he was with us in the Fall of 2002.

During a volunteer project for the Aloha United Way, Ben demonstrated considerable research and tracking skills, finding his way from downtown Honolulu (where we'd missed him) to a middle school in Waipahu (where we were busily digging ditches) before we'd even realized he was trying to join us.

Ben is originally from Nigeria.
