I know it's been a while. I just didn't feel I could post anything else until I posted something from my grandmother's funeral a few weeks ago... but I was never happy with what I came up with. Even this two-minute clip doesn't do the ceremonies, or her life, justice. Still, it was a special day, and it swelled my heart to hear over and over again what a difference she made in Hawaii. Our heartfelt sympathies and condolences go out to you and your family.
This was a very touching movie. Firstly there was the sadness in it. Death. Funeral. Ceremony. Life.
Then there was the cultural aspect of it. I never realized your cultural setting. Zen Buddhism? Seeing those very different settings. I will show you a typical Norwegian funeral when I get the chance. It is quite different.
Glad to see us leading the way for future video bloggers in Hawaii, just kidding! But it was good to see you geovlogging. Cool! How are you doing? I heard your podcast, good stuff. Your kids will be so lucky to see and hear this when they grow up. Aloha
